A DVD recording material with one layer on one side is a single-sided single-layer product, and a DVD recording material with two layers on one side is a single-sided double-layer product. Currently, there are DVD-R and DVD + R for single-sided dual-layer DVDs. Single-sided dual-layer DVDs are referred to as DVD-R DL and DVD + R DL, but DVD-R is an abbreviation for Dual Layer and DVD + R is an abbreviation for Double Layer.
In addition, in order to record on a single-sided dual-layer DVD, it is only possible to record on a device that supports this disc.
