There are several possible reasons why you can play it on a DVD recorder but not on a DVD player.
(1) Isn’t it recorded in video mode and not finalized?
Since the DVD player is a commercially available DVD video playback-only machine, it can only be played by recording it on a DVD-R or DVD-RW in video mode and finalizing it. Therefore, for unfinalized DVD-Rs and DVD-RWs, perform finalization on the recorded device.
(Refer to the finalization content of “How to use DVD”)
(2) Isn’t it possible that the DVD player that records in VR mode does not support playback in VR mode?
Digital broadcasts can only be recorded in VR mode, but most DVD players, with the exception of some DVD players, do not support playback in VR mode, so DVDs recorded with digital broadcasts cannot be played. Also, DVD-RAM can only be recorded in VR mode, but if a DVD player that supports VR mode playback does not support DVD-RAM playback, DVD-RAM cannot be played.
