Maxell is excited to announce a significant redesign of our alkaline battery packaging, set to launch in February 2025. While the battery design itself remains unchanged, this new packaging aims to unify our brand’s visual identity across all markets, enhancing recognition and visibility.

This redesign not only aligns with our commitment to a cohesive brand image but also serves as a measure to combat counterfeit products in the market. By adopting a standardized design, we aim to ensure that consumers can easily identify genuine Maxell alkaline batteries.

The higher-end Premium Digital XL offers the best performance, followed by the standard Alkaline (GD) Battery. Both the Digital XL and Alkaline (GD) Battery series contain 0% mercury and 0% cadmium. The production process is environmentally friendly.

The alkaline series has two production lines: the Premium Alkaline Digital XL and the Alkaline Battery GD (Global Design). The Premium Alkaline Digital XL is made in Japan and features a leak-proof design (10-year shelf life), offering long-lasting high power and high quality. The Alkaline Battery (GD) is manufactured in China and is a cost-effective choice.
